Vertical Machining Center Facilitates Precise Positioning
Romi has released the New Generation D 1000 vertical machining center. The company says it was designed and built based on extensive customer research with numerous features that enhance the machine’s rigidity and precision.
The D 1000 VMC has a 48″ × 22″ table and is equipped with a Fanuc 0i-MF i-HMI CNC with 15″ touchscreen. It has a high speed and high quality package for better performance during machining. Linear roller guides enable feed rates up to 1.575 ipm (40 m/min), which supports precise and fast acceleration and positioning. Guides also increase robustness during machining and load capacity (part weight) on the table. The machine is equipped with a vertical tool changer with 30 tool capacity.
Cast-Iron VMC Offers Precision and Rigidity Thanks to Its Weight
Romi’s new Generation D 1000 vertical machining center was designed and built based on extensive customer research and has numerous features that enhance the machine’s rigidity and precision.
The new VMC is built with Romi-made monoblock cast iron beds that absorb vibration and allow consistent production of highly precise parts. It features thermal compensation with sensors to help maintain stable, dimensional results in real time, even during long working periods when the machine temperature increases.
This Romi Machining Center is equipped with a low maintenance, 40 big plus taper direct drive motor that improves stiffness, accuracy and allows increased depth of cut.

Vertical CNC Lathes Handle up to 99 Tons on Chuck
Romi’s VT series vertical CNC lathes includes six models rangins from the VT 1400M with a load capacity of 22,000 lbs. to the massive VT 6000 what will handle 198,400 lbs. on chuck.
Romi Machine Tools GL 250 horizontal turning centre features thermal compensation with sensorsRomi Machine Tools has introduced the GL 250 horizontal turning centre, which comes equipped with a thermal compensation system with sensors to maintain stable, dimensional results even during long working periods.
The use of sensors provides accurate, real-time compensation as opposed to compensation based on predefined algorithms. The result is more accurate machining over extended periods of time when the machine temperature increases, the company states.
